Résumé : Pd-based catalyst adapted for biaryls production in a continuous fixed bed reactor is developed, designed and tested. First, the development of the new catalyst is presented. The performance, in term of yield, selectivity and kinetic is then experimentally studied and included in a kinetic model. The impacts of the compaction in the catalyst pellets on the performance are then evaluated, both experimentally and by coupling the previously developed model to internal mass transfer limitation. The results are finally used to choose an optimized pellet size for a continuous reactor.
