Résumé : Since September 2018, schools in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation haveundergone profound changes initiated by the reform of the Pacte pour un enseignementd’Excellence. Indeed, schools are now expected to set goals at 3 and 6 years of age and todefine strategies to achieve them. From then on, it is up to school director to “steer” theentire system within its school, leading to an evolution in the governance of the school.development has an inevitable impact on the leadership of the director. Through thiscontribution we analyze the effects of the reform on the different components of leadershipwhich are the personal legitimacy of the school director, her social position, the role sheplays, the normative power she exercises and the collective responsibility she assumes.
