Résumé : L-Cystinyl-di-β-naphthylamide hydrolase (Oxytocinase or CAP) and L-leucyl-β-naphthylamide hydrolase (LAP) activities of normal and meconium contaminated human amniotic uuids were shown to be present by acrylamide gel electrophoresis. The same enzymes were found in human digestive organs and secretions. The CAP of the amniotic fluid, digestive organs and secretions has the same migration rate, which differs from that of the pregnancy serum CAP. It is concluded that the amniotic fluid Oxytocinase finds its origin in the fetal digestive secretions, and should not be confused with the pregnancy serum Oxyto-cinase. © 1973.
