Résumé : The brain has been a «black box» during centuries, but functional magnetic resonance imaging is a revolution which has permitted to understand the dynamic function of the brain during specific motor or sensory tasks as well as during emotions and recently during sexual activities! We summarize here the different brain regions involved in sexual desire and orgasm in men and women and the perspectives in future fMRI studies.
