Résumé : The means and tools for communicating a political message are constantly diversifying and evolving. With this, the actors in the political arena, at present, are moving beyond the traditional actors and are also diversifying. In this paper, we will analyze the political engagement of celebrities by looking specifically at the case of red carpets and the Met Gala 2021. Indeed, this event is a particular moment, enjoying popular attention and an important diffusion on social networks, which allows celebrities to easily promote a political message. In this way, fashion is important and even the most effective way for these celebrities to promote a commitment or a cause they care about. This paper will therefore focus on the visual analysis of the Met Gala and how fashion can be an effective means of communication to promote a political message, based on an interpretative approach and a qualitative and quantitative analysis of our sources.
