| Résumé : | Drawing on an ethnographic research in Mexico City, this article focuses on the use of geo-localized gay dating apps among Mexican queer migrants returning from the USA. Based principally on in-depth interviews and participant observation, this article aims to grasp how the participants have come to use these technologies when arriving in the USA. I argue that gay dating apps impact the trajectories of my informants and that their involvement in these networks is intimately linked to their migration experience. Furthermore, I suggest that these technologies contribute to fill a lack of sociability in the host country and influence queer sexual subjectivities after relocation. |
