Résumé : A comparative study of Pb isotopes in the Pb-Zn-Ba mineralizations and enclosing rocks of the Belgian Upper Devonian and Lower Carboniferous carbonate rocks led to a general genetic model. The source of metals, their mobilization and transport by hydrothermal fluids, stress the metallogenic importance of the Middle and Upper Devonian beds. The Lower Carboniferous sediments seem to be related to epigenetic veins and associated mineralization, while Middle and Upper Devonian beds are suitable for containing syndiagenetic stratiform mineralizations.-R.V.T.
