Résumé : | This work presents the results obtained in various nervous and respiratory affections in a medical resuscitation unit of 12 beds. The nursing personnel besides providing medical and nursing care, performs kinesiotherapy ergotherapy and a permanent medical guard within the unit. The yearly number of patients admitted is of the order of 6 to 7 hundred. In the above mentioned affections a more or less prolonged artificial ventilation is done on a very large scale, mainly by endotracheal intubation, sometimes by tracheotomy. 85% of the patients studied were cured. |
