Résumé : The concentration of a suspension at any point is determined by measuring the capacity of a condenser which is designed not to interfere with the effect being studied. Experiments with silica powder of 56μ diameter in a mixture of benzene and nitrobenzene indicate that the degree of packing of the sediment is a function of its height and not of the time it is left in the setting tank. The method can also be employed for measurements in cyclone separators or in fluidized beds. © 1951.
