| Résumé : | We develop an integral formalism to study the two body-problem, starting with the Liouville equation. We show that the "scattering equations" take a very intuitive form when expressed in the coordinate space and that the evolution of the velocity distribution function is closely related to the stationary solution of the Liouville equation with appropriate boundary conditions. We also stress the formal analogy with the S matrix point of view in quantum mechanics. © 1959 Stichting Physica. |
