Résumé : Serum phospholipids were determined in a group of French speaking and Dutch speaking postmen and postwomen; the blood lipids were measured in a cardiovascular screening examination. The serum phospholipid concentration increases with age. There is a difference in the rate of increase between the male and the female populations. The mean phospholipidemia is higher in the French population than in the Dutch. Oral contraceptives elevate significantly the serum phospholipid level.
