Résumé : Three types of retinal lesion have been observed in children who have been diabetic for 6 yr or more, apart from those usually described; alterations in vessel permeability, as demonstrated by leakages of fluorescein noted in 75% of new cases of retinopathy, one of the early signs of retinal involvement; pigmental changes in the macula, observed in 72.2% of the patients, probably linked with recurrent bouts of edema due to the first lesion described; very small retinal lesions, noted in 88.8% of patients but not positively identifiable at this stage of the investigation.
