Résumé : | Protamine, a basic protein, was shown to influence the activity of antibacterial agents. When added to tryptic soy broth it enhanced the bactericidal activity of cefotaxime, sulphadimethoxine, ticarcillin, piperacillin and carbenicillin against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In contrast, the activity of polymyxin B against this species was markedly reduced in the presence of protamine. © 1988. |
