Résumé :

The classification of polar spaces which are fully embedded in a finite-dimensional projective space, is now achieved (see for instance [8]). The present paper initiates the study of polar spaces embedded in a larger sense, by defining a weak embedding of them. © 1981 Birkhäuser Verlag.
