Résumé : Generalized oscillator strengths and Born cross sections are calculated for electron excitation of the ground state to the n 1S (n = 1, 5), n 1P (n = 2, 5), n 1D (n = 3, 5), n 1F (n = 4,5) and 5 1G states of helium, and from the 2 1S to the 3 1S, 4 1S, 2 1P, 3 1P, 4 1P, 3 1D, 4 1D and 4 1F states, using "configuration-interaction" wave functions to describe the initial and final states. The results obtained with various formulations of the oscillator strengths are compared, and the effects of correlations in the target are investigated. © 1970.
