Résumé : Photolysis at 253.7 mμ of calf thymus desoxyribonucleic acid studied by viscosimetric measurements occurs with a very low quantum yield (of the order of 10-6). A destruction of pyrimidine bases accompanies this photolysis. In a parallel study, the photolysis of nucleoproteins of the same origin takes place at a comparable speed and changes in absorption spectra which can be demonstrated are qualitatively identical for nucleoprotein and desoxyribonucleic acid. © 1952.
