Résumé : Novel antipsychotics are still frequently referred to as atypical. Following a brief review, of the significant literature, they are presented under the sole perspective of their extrapyramidal side effect profile. Thereby, answers to whether they are novel or atypical are revisited. A tentative algorithm for their prescription is proposed as well.
