| Résumé : | This paper offers an overview of the literature on preference modelling. Our departure point is the classical theory of preference modelling that is mainly characterized by the combination of a specific language and syntax. We show how this theory deals with a number of fundamental problems. Several extensions of this theory are then reviewed. |
