Résumé : This paper argues that the extensive uses of PMSCs by the Nations worldwide made the PMSCs industry a well-entrenched part of the modern world in the last three decades, especially in the global security and military sphere, this resulted in what we call “an age of outsourcing” where nations outsource their military components to private actors in level unseen in History. The industry changed its nature from a mercenary like activity to corporation like entities, that first filled the security gap caused by the end of the Cold-War, then expended itself thanks to the reliance of the U.S (and U.K) to the PMSCs, using the Irak war (second gulf war), as a case study, we demonstrate that PMSC are now part of the modern warfare world.
