| Résumé : | Dans un climat où la conservation préventive devient un enjeu global dans le domaine du patrimoine, cette étude s’attardera sur l’avancée des pratiques relatives à ce champ pour le cas particulier des artefacts de nature métallique dans le contexte de la Région wallonne. Elle consistera, en couplant approche théorique et volet de recherche sur le terrain, à rendre compte de la place de la conservation préventive et de son importance au sein de la chaine opératoire complexe du « traitement » des objets archéologiques. Dans un champ intrinsèquement interdisciplinaire, l’enjeu à terme sera de proposer un outil fonctionnel permettant aux professionnels du patrimoine au même titre que tout intéressé d’aborder la conservation préventive des métaux comme un processus holistique. En dernière analyse, cette proposition de méthodologie transversale sera ainsi objectivée et rendue plus explicite à l’aide d’exemples issus de notre paysage régional.In a climate where preventive conservation is becoming a global issue in the field of heritage, this study will focus on the progress of practices related to this field for the particular case of artefacts of a metallic nature in the context of the Walloon Region. By combining a theoretical approach and field research, it will give an account of the place of preventive conservation and its importance within the complex operational chain of the "treatment" of archaeological objects. In a field that is inherently interdisciplinary, the ultimate challenge will be to propose a functional tool that will enable heritage professionals, as well as any interested party, to approach preventive metal conservation as a holistic process. In the final analysis, this proposal for a cross-sectional methodology will thus be objectified and made more explicit by example from our regional landscape. |
