Résumé : Policymaking process brings a diverse group of institution together. Each institution fights to achieve the best regulations for their interest. Non-governmental organizations also one of the main actors in the policymaking process. This research is about the advocacy function of NGO’s in the particular case of Work-Life Balance (WLB) Directive process. The research revolved around the find out the answer of how advocacy policies affect NGOs position in the policymaking process. I developed a hypothesis as NGO’s role in the policymaking process is dependent on their advocacy level. Primarily data were collected during the semi-structured online interviews and replying written questions conducted with the executive staff of the seven non-governmental organization. The results of the interviews are transcribed and analysed through content analysis employing NVivo software. In conclusion, I observed my hypothesis corresponds with the research results. NGO’s can sustain an effective position as much as they constrain a powerful, sustainable advocacy policy regardless of the obstacles in the system.
