| Résumé : | This paper studies the role of political discourse in a country’s nation-building process, delving into the nexus between discourse and identity. The recent territorial affair between Chile and Bolivia, which attracted considerable media attention, has sparked this research’s interest to select the latter South American country as its study-case. The results were as they follow: A substantial connection was identified between political discourse and the development of a state’s collective conscience. |
