| Résumé : | The effects of Adriamycin on islet B cells has been investigated for insulin secretion, Ca movements and glucose oxidation in order to determine other toxic effect of the new antineoplastic drug than cardiotoxic effects. Our results suggest that therapeutic doses of Adriamycin could be highly toxic for endocrine secretory function. These effects are discussed in terms of interactions of the drug with the respiratory chain. |
