Résumé : Interest in certain aspects of theatrical presentation and the use of notions relating to the world of the theatre are well established in philosophical production nowadays. The analysis of some contemporary studies on the topic in French makes it apparent that the theatre is not just one object of reflection among others for philosophy, but that it furnishes epistemic tools for thinking our modes of thought and of action in their past configurations and in their contemporary potentialities. Thus the theatre stage determines a specific standpoint that questions anew the distinction between truth and illusion established by the theoretical way of viewing, and that encourages the reader to revisit the modalities of action as they have been envisaged in the history of philosophy (transl.
