Résumé : | Evaporation of binary mixtures is studied using both experimental and theoretical approaches. For the experimental work, variations of the refractive index of the liquid in a Hele-Shaw cell during the evaporation are followed by a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. In this way, the variation of the concentration during the process can be measured. Rayleigh-Taylor instability is observed during the process. A theoretical model is developed for the basic profiles in order to facilitate the interpretation of the experimental results. |
