Résumé : Transport properties of manganese in CaO-SiO2-MnO molten slags have been estimated by chronopotentiometry for the anodic oxidation of Mn2+ to Mn3+. A first approach is given assuming a constant electric field and taking into account a transport number of manganese ions and the electrical conductivity of the slags. A diffusion coefficient is deduced which characterizes the transport of manganese ions corrected for migration. An interpretation of the results is given in relation with the structure of the slags and the polymerization model. © 1981 Maney Publishing.
