Résumé : The neutron-rich 17B nucleus is investigated in the three-cluster generator coordinate method, involving different 13B + dineutron + dineutron configurations. The 13B core is described by all possible p-shell configurations in the harmonic-oscillator model. We study the 17B spectrum, and focus on ground-state properties. The r.m.s. radius and the quadrupole moment are computed, and compared with the corresponding values of 13B. Starting from the monopole and quadrupole terms of the proton and neutron densities, the 17B structure is analyzed. We show that the neutron density extends to large distances. This result, as well as a significant neutron skin (0.50 fm), support the idea of a neutron halo in 17B. © 1995.
