Résumé : Hydrodynamic-like instability in finite-size homogeneous granular fluid was analyzed based on modified hydrodynamic equations. Rescaled time formalism was proposed to study the homogeneous cooling state as a nonequilibrium steady state. The appearance of flow patterns was predicted by the nonlinear stability analysis of the resulting equations. Molecular dynamics simulation of inelastic hard disks for low dissipation was also carried out.
