| Résumé : | Spectral indices are measured in the VENUS-F zero power fast reactor as indicators of its neutron spectrum hardness. Consistent underestimation of the calculation of several spectral indices with respect to the experiments was observed at VENUS-F. This was shown not to originate from the epithermal part of the neutron spectrum in the CoRREx campaign. The VALUE campaign was conducted to assess the performance of the VENUS-F Monte Carlo model on the calculation of the fast neutron spectrum in the reactor. Measurements with various detectors have been conducted within VALUE. Here we present the results of the first phase of VALUE, consisting of 238U/235U and, for the first time, 232Th/235U fission rate ratios, and of the deposited energy in SiC and diamond solid state detectors. The presented results bring new evidence on the observed calculation-to-experiment underestimation of the 238U/235U and 232Th/235U fission rate ratios at VENUS-F. Other fission chamber measurements, activation measurements and the spectra unfolded from the solid state detector responses will be presented in future works. |
