Résumé : Public health policies often fail to achieve their goals due to the complex dynamics of health systems and the disconnect between national intentions and local realities. This paper demonstrates that employing adaptive leadership and systems-informed approaches, as illustrated through a diabetes prevention strategy in a coastal town, can effectively bridge the gap between policy design and successful community implementation, leading to improved health outcomes and community engagement.
