Résumé : An new equilibrium molecular-dynamics method (the uniaxial Hugoniostat) is proposed to study the energetics and deformation structures in shocked crystals. This method agrees well with nonequilibrium molecular-dynamics simulations used to study shock-wave propagation in solids and liquids.
