Résumé : This first episode of AspirE podcast series 3 explores how the AspirE project humanises migration by focusing on personal stories and lived experiences rather than statistics. As project coordinator, Asuncion Fresnoza-Flot discusses the objectives of Work Package 3, which investigates why people migrate, re-migrate, or stay by carrying out interviews with aspiring (re)migrants and using social network mapping to visualise migrants’ personal and institutional connections. Antoine Roblain joins to describe the innovative use of Network Canvas, the software used to create these visual network representations, and recalls the hybrid training session held in Masaryk to support team members. Together, they reflect on the project’s rich data collection across multiple countries, highlighting early insights from interviews and network maps.
