| Résumé : | In this contribution we investigate the effects of geometry and boundary conditions on the flow field and heat flux generated by a gaseous-methane/gaseous-oxygen (GCH4/GOX) flame emanating from a shear coaxial injector in Liquid Rocket Engine (LRE) operating conditions. The framework used to describe such a turbulent, non-premixed flame is based on a low-Mach number, unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier Stokes (URANS) approach, coupled to a flamelet modelling for the description of non-adiabatic effects. Comparison between adiabatic and isothermal wall modelling is presented, as well as the effect of lateral dimension variations for fixed injector geometry. The correlation found between geometry and heat flux is proposed as starting point for the development of a surrogate model based on the collected database and devoted to the thermal load estimation |
