| Résumé : | Bone cement has a central role in orthopaedic surgery. It is used with success in total joint replacement since years. Newer techniques such as vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty have been used during the last years. This article describes the chemical and mechanical properties of bone cement and will describe particularly his use in total hip arthroplasty and vertebropasty and kyphoplasty. |
