Résumé : Cryosurgery with liquid nitrogen is a fast and easy treatment modality frequently used for basal cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis. Line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT) is a new non-invasive skin imaging technique combining the technical principles of reflectance confocal microscopy and conventional OCT and, therefore, displaying high resolution and high in-tissue penetration at the same time. LC-OCT has been shown to be considerably useful for the diagnosis and management of non-melanocytic and melanocytic lesions, but there is currently no data about its potential in the monitoring of cryosurgery. This chapter outlines for the first time the potential of LC-OCT to prompt, assist, guide, and monitor cryosurgery.
