Résumé :

The European Commission has formulated a proposal for a directive on representative actions for the protection of the collective interests of consumers. The efficiency of these actions depends on their financing. This article focuses on third-party class action funding. It describes relevant practices in Australia, Canada, and the United States, as well as the legal framework in European law.
