Résumé : The Hopf bifurcations for a single first order reaction carried out in a delayed recycle stirred tank reactor are determined analytically. We show that the delay τ doesn't generate a Hopf bifurcation instability if the steady state is stable at τ=0. On the other hand, if the steady state is unstable at τ=0 because of a Hopf bifurcation instability, it may be stabilized for small values of τ and undergoes new Hopf bifurcations for larger values of τ.
