Résumé : This letter presents a novel framework for integrated sensing and communication in WLAN systems. The proposed approach adapts multi-user multi-input multi-output precoder of Wi-Fi systems to enable simultaneous communication and sensing and simplifies power allocation between both tasks as an independent optimization problem while requiring minimal software upgrades. A flexible power allocation method optimizes signal-to-noise-plus-interference-ratio (SINR) balancing for users and targets, accommodating trade-offs between communication and sensing. Numerical results demonstrate the framework’s effectiveness in achieving balanced SINR and enhancing integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) performance.
