Résumé : The formation of Asian-Belgian couples undergoes reconfiguration through time in gender and social class terms. To understand the situations of these couples in Belgium, 35 social actors within selected Asian populations were interviewed in the present study. These individuals fulfil active roles in the said immigrant populations and have regular contacts/interactions with Belgian-Asian couples. Through the lens of situated mixedness, interview analysis reveals intimate diversity outside (heterosexual, urban-oriented, and social network-shape) and within (in terms of socio-demographic characteristics and relationship configurations) the selected populations. The partners in the couples undergo challenges in labour market incorporation and interpersonal difficulties related to finances, power inequality, and/or misunderstanding. These points of convergence among the couples are fluid and mutable, which indicates further diversification in the future of conjugal mixedness involving Belgians and Asians.
