Résumé : Postmodernism, with its eclectic ornamentation and reinterpreted historical references, has had a profound impact on the urban landscape of Brussels. This movement emerged as a reaction to modernism and the numerous demolitions that reshaped the city, while at the same time accompanying the introduction of the first thermal regulations. However, now that many buildings from this period have been transformed, demolished or reimagined as part of new BMA competitions, a crucial question is emerging: do these buildings deserve to be recognised as heritage to be preserved?
