Résumé : A floristic treatment for the Labiatae, subfamily Ajugoideae, occurring within the region covered by the Flore d’Afrique centrale (Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi) is given. Five genera, 45 species, two subspecies and seven varieties are documented. Of these, three species and three varieties are endemic to the region. One lectotype and one neotype are designated; three new combinations are made and five names are treated as synonyms for the first time. All genera and species are presented along with a morphological description, synonyms, distributional data, information on habitat and conservation, vernacular names, as well as additional bibliography, taxonomic notes and the citation of representative herbarium specimens. Keys to all taxa are provided, while identification is supported by 29 botanical illustrations as well as 25 colour photographs.
