| Résumé : | The paper describes the advantages of using Caris Hips, a multifunctional tool for processing bathymetric data and making vector maps based on captured measurements. Performing bathymetric surveys using high-precision sonar measurements is based on the modern tools (ultrasonic sonar) which provides detailed information on the depths and seafloor topography. It facilitates accurate positioning and navigation of the R/V and makes a significant contribution to the study of the interpretations of lithospheric plate movements. The latter is especially important for the key tectonic regions in the area of lithospheric plate boundaries.
