Résumé : Physical models can be used in order to model the structural behaviour of an architectural project. By highlighting its weaknesses, the model can inspire an improved design. This article reviews general principles and several methods for the correct use of such physical models-including a selection of tested techniques for modelling structural elements, their connections and their loads-as well as validation by means of a digital model, and special techniques like inverted and soap bubble models.
