Résumé : | Re-edition of a Coptic document on papyrus (region of Shmoun, in Middle Egypt, middle of the ninth century). It is interpreted here as a declaration by which taxpayers confirm that they have received from the local tax collector the money they overpaid for a given fiscal year. The document includes three loanwords borrowed from the Arabic fiscal vocabulary and is especially noteworthy as an example of the use of Coptic in the administrative sphere. |
