Résumé : This PhD compares the expansion strategies of two major brewers in the second half of the 20th century. On the one hand, Artois and Piedboeuf, two parent companies whose merger would lead to the creation of Interbrew, later InBev and AB InBev. These two Belgian family companies opted for an internationalization strategy. On the other hand, Labatt, a widely-held Canadian brewery which chose to diversify and limit its international scope. In 1995, Interbrew acquired Labatt.
