| Résumé : | An interdisciplinary and inter-sector working group from the Brussels area gathered in order to reflect on the transition from adolescence to adulthood and its challenges. Since these turning points are mixed with an obligation to be autonomous, a shift between a logic of protection and a logic of responsibility takes place. Based on this observation, and taking into consideration the social context, we wonder about the impact of transgression and failing for young adults, their families and healthcare institutions. Institutions in parallel and in close collaboration with the network seem crucial to support transitional age youth. Listening to what youth have to say to us about the collective functioning, together with the dialogues we have with them, allow us to create alternative responses. |
