Résumé : A neurotropic strain of vaccinia virus was carried free from bacterial contamination through eleven lung passages in rabbits. Under the conditions chosen for the experiments the strain caused a lethal broncho-pneuinonia. The litre of infectivity and the other characteristics of the original neurotropic strain remained unchanged after the eleventh lung transfer. © 1946 S. Karger AG, Basel.
