Résumé : | We present here the original case of an African patient carrying a recurrence of Follicular thyroid cancer with lymph node and bone metastases. The patient has a feverish condition two weeks after Iodine 131 treatment and three months after radiotherapy for bone metastases. This induced lymphopenia with subsequent pancytopenia. In this article, we present a brief review of the literature on radiation-induced lymphopenia and their short- and long-term clinical impact on patient survival. |
