Résumé : Autopsy findings are reported in 29 cases of myxedema observed in aged patients. In 7 cases the hypothyroidism was due to a primary destructive lesion of the pituitary gland. In 22 cases the hypothyroidism was related to an atrophic cirrhosis of the thyroid, the preclinical stages of which have been investigated.
