Résumé : Cardiac accumulation of (99m)Tc-Pyrophosphate, injected to obtain a bone scintigraphy in a patient with bronchogenic carcinoma, raised the suspicion of a pericardial effusion, subsequently confirmed by echocardiography, computerized axial tomography of the thorax and autopsy. Although nonspecific, accumulation of labeled phosphate in the cardiac area may indicate mediastinal extension of tumor.
